Yellow Bus – Completed
This series of illustrations has come to a close, and while it took much more time than I originally estimated, I’m happy with the way it turned out and glad that I put in the extra time to bring these characters to life. I saw a lot of potential for this project when I was first contracted through iStockphoto – and now as it’s rearing completion, it’s nice to see that the final outcome was well worth the time invested.
Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that this was my first time really ever creating characters. Most of the illustrations I work on are of inanimate objects. With a little help on the sketching phase from my fellow art director, Luis, these guys went from sketch to vector illustration pretty smoothly. I also bumped up to CS3 in the process and can’t describe how much of a time saver Live Color is!
