The Big S

Did a little bit of beveled lettering and some custom type for Skechers over the weekend. Did a bunch of comps, but I don’t think I can show much of the other stuff. I figure since I’ve already shown some of the artwork I used in this comp that I probably won’t get in too much trouble if any.

  1. It’s looking pretty sweet, looks like your using Hamilton Ornate for the bottom, must say I cant wait to see how it turns out, btw really digging the beveled look you have going

  2. Oh, where would designers like us be without solid type foundries like Letterhead Fonts? Gotta love em.

  3. Yeah, they are truly inspiring,I noticed hydro using what looked like Billhead in one of his type treatments, of course he tricked it up with his own flourishes to make it pop. And I just went back and noticed the S in this piece, that’s some slick use of 3d lettering there. I can’t believe i didn’t notice it before. I love how it feels thick, when the original font seems so thin, I’m definitely going to be studying your work a lot more from now on…
